Project Healed

Statement of beliefs.

What we believe, and how it shapes every conversation.

Our mission

Healing, wholeness, and restoration.

Project Healed exists to create biblically grounded, trauma-informed conversations that help people move toward healing, wholeness, and restoration. We believe many people are navigating the effects of trauma, church hurt, spiritual abuse, leadership failures, grief, loss, and personal brokenness.

Through thoughtful dialogue with theologians, pastors, psychologists, trauma specialists, attorneys, leaders, and survivors, we seek to provide language, understanding, hope, and practical pathways toward healing.

Our commitment is to pursue truth with humility, healing with compassion, and spiritual formation centered on Jesus Christ.

Our vision

A healthy, Spirit-filled Church.

We envision a Church that is deeply biblical, emotionally healthy, spiritually vibrant, trauma-informed, and led with integrity.

We believe healing and holiness are not competing goals. We believe truth and compassion belong together.

We believe the Holy Spirit and healthy accountability belong together. Through the transforming work of Jesus Christ, healing and wholeness remain possible for every person and every community.

Our theological foundation

Historic faith, the living Spirit.

Project Healed is rooted in historic, orthodox Christian faith and a charismatic Pentecostal understanding of the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit.

We believe the Bible is the inspired, authoritative Word of God; Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man; every human being is created in the image of God; the Holy Spirit actively works today; and the Church is called to embody both truth and grace, accountability and compassion, holiness and healing.

Trauma-informed care

Our commitment to trauma-informed care.

Project Healed recognizes that trauma is a significant reality affecting individuals, families, churches, and communities.

We believe trauma can impact how people think, feel, relate, worship, lead, and experience God.

Being trauma-informed does not mean excusing harmful behavior or minimizing personal responsibility. Rather, it means recognizing the effects of pain while fostering environments that promote healing, accountability, and restoration.

Psychology and flourishing

Our view of psychology and human flourishing.

Most importantly, we believe all people can change.

We believe all truth ultimately belongs to God. While Scripture remains our highest authority, responsible research in psychology, neuroscience, attachment theory, and trauma studies can provide valuable insight into how human beings function and heal.

We reject both the idea that psychology can replace biblical truth and the idea that emotional struggles are solved solely through spiritual practices.

The gifts of the Spirit

Our commitment to the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Project Healed affirms the continuation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit described in the New Testament, including prophecy, healing, miracles, words of knowledge, discernment, tongues, and other spiritual gifts.

We believe these gifts remain active and necessary for the life and mission of the Church today and should operate with humility, accountability, wisdom, maturity, and love.

Prophetic integrity

Our commitment to prophetic integrity.

We believe God continues to speak and guide His people through the ministry of the Holy Spirit. We advocate for healthy prophetic ministry that is biblically grounded, humble, accountable, tested in community, free from manipulation, and focused on strengthening, encouraging, and comforting.

No prophetic word carries the authority of Scripture, and all prophetic ministry should be weighed carefully within biblical truth.
